it's been a while.

These last 6 days I have been in Portland, OR and then Nampa/Boise so I haven't really had the time to blog. But this morning I will make time! As far as Maine goes, it's looking less and less likely. Upon a more realistic look at the situation I have realized that I don't really have enough money to move out there. It would cost several hundred just to get there, and then I would have to get a place to stay which would be tricky because I don't have a job yet (or tons of money saved up) and places want a security deposit and the first month of rent. So even if I found the very cheapest place I would be completely out of money. I did however call the Nazarene church over there in Portland, ME and asked the secretary if they had any families with an extra room that would let me stay for a short period of time until I could get my feet on the ground. I gave her all my information, but haven't heard from anybody. In lieu of all that, I'm seeking employment more locally. In fact I have a job interview in Boise next week, which is both exciting and scary. From everything I hear it's hard to get jobs right now because the economy is crashing or something like that. So it's hard to know how picky I should be, but right now I think the most important thing is getting some experience and a paycheck.
