So, let me know what you think. peterjohnsondesign.com. I have been very busy lately so I haven't had much time to write. But at least I have something to show for it, a website! I need to change some things so it will load faster. But the main concept is there. So, I would love feedback. Or a job.
Which brings me to my next point which will most likely delight my mother. I applied for three (3) jobs today. I will be giving follow up phone calls in a day or two. Also there is one more job that looks good that I am going to apply for tomorrow. I'm excited because all these places seem like they would be really fun to work at. So we'll just see if I hear from anyone.
Onto other things, I did some graffiti. Or I like to call it street art. This was done behind the art building (the one place we thought it might actually have a chance of staying up). Mike (another design major) also did it with me. We weren't going to tell anyone, but we told one person and now everyone knows, so I might as well blog about it. Neither of has ever tried anything like this before, so it was all new to us. It was a very fun and I think somewhat successful experiment/adventure. In our time here at NNU we have had two very influential graphic design professors, Bouw and Kinsman. Bouw left last year and Kinsman replaced him. We love them both, so the graffiti was a homage to both of them. On one side Mike did "Bouw"zer (the character from Mario) and on the other side I did "Kins"-Kong, a big ape monster thing (king kong). They sorta meet in the middle where it is written, "Art Dpt." Even though it has got mixed reviews, I think it was mostly a hit and hopefully it will stay up. Then maybe over the years art students will add on to it. But only if they sneak in and do it at 1 am.
*Update: 2 of the 4 art professors have said they really like it and will try to keep it up, but it has to be approved by all the art staff. If they decided they as a department can't support this "vandalism" then we might be punished (aka have to paint over it)... or in a better case scenario they will hopefully let us finish it by doing a homage to all the other art professors and then we can call it a senior project. This would be awesome because then we could do some more, and not be so worried about getting caught by security.

Pete I'm lovin the website. Looks really good. It's simple and clean, but still really creative. Good luck with the job hunting.
I've thought about trying to get more readers to my blog, maybe I'll try something. I mainly just do it as an outlet, but I guess it'd be cool if I had more people reading it. I have a feeling that I'd come off as an ass to people who didn't really know me too well, but I'll give it a shot.
