the night is darkest just before the dawn

So now my website is pretty much done. If you checked it out a few days ago when I wrote about it then you probably won't notice much change. I just fixed some glitches and put logos on there. Feels good to have that done, though I'm sure there are still tweaks to be done. There always are.

So I saw the new Batman movie last night (along with the rest of the world). I went to the 16 screen theater in Everett and by midnight they had sold enough tickets for the 12:01 showing that they were showing it on all 16 screens. In my limited big screen experience, I've never heard of or experienced that before. The movie itself was sweet as I'm sure you've heard. My favorite part was easily the "how about a magic trick?" scene. You'll know what I mean once you see it. The joker definitely stole the show, would have been a great recurring character.

I read somewhere that in order to prepare for the role, Heath Ledger shacked himself up in an apartment for a month developing The Joker's psychology and personality and everything. Weird... but that would explain why the character is so captivating and well-done. Anyway, good stuff. Let me know what you think.

What I heard is that he spent so much time developing himself into the Joker that is was screwing him up mentally. He was having nightmares or couldn't sleep or something and had to see a psychiatrist to get sleeping meds, which he then overdosed on. So he was so good as the Joker that it killed him.

Joe and Becca went to see the film tonight, I'll be interested to see what they think. Way cool about your tattoo artist, by the way. I'd love to have someone famous work on my skin...maybe someday I'll fly to Miami and check out the shop there. Then again, I have to think up another design so cool that I want to have it forever. Any new thoughts on the career front?
